Change in annual greenhouse gas emissions since 1990
From 1990 to 1998, carbon emissions rose by 25%. More recent figures are not available. However, Argentina is doing well at improving its carbon productivity.
“Two countries are currently improving their carbon productivity at a rate which is high enough to meet the global emissions reduction goal, given expected growth rates of population and GDP: Mexico and Argentina.”
(See The Climate Institute and E3G: G20 Low Carbon Competitiveness.)
